The fertile literary traditions of the
Arab world have spoken to the artists of
CityArts Cooperative during their newest
group exhibit
"Visual Poetry: Arab-esque".

From February 1 through March 31,
2012, "Arab-esque" draws on a wide variety
of modern and ancient Arab poetry,
prose and songs that are interpreted and
translated into visual and functional art.

Opulent colors, organic forms and beautiful
words make "Visual Poetry: Arabesque"
a rich introduction to the literature of the
Arab world.

Meet-the Artists receptions, for
"Visual Poetry:
Arab-esque"
are Saturdays, February 18,
2012 and March 17, 2012
from 4-6pm.

These free receptions invite the public to
explore the exhibit and converse with the
artists about their art and inspirations, while
enjoying light refreshments and 10% off art
in “Arab-esque”.
