Teresa Kane, originally from Millstreet, County Cork,
has been teaching Irish dance in the Florida
Panhandle for over nine years. She was instrumental
in the opening of the Niall O'Leary School of Irish
Dance in Florida in 2007. Teresa has won many
awards for dancing in Cork, Kerry, and the greater
Munster area. She has been on the stage since the
age of four, and made an appearance in the final of
the popular RTE TV talent show 'Screen Test' in
1985, singing live on Irish National TV with her
identical twin sister Helen. She has brought the love
of Irish culture to Western Florida and has organized
many wonderful performances and TV appearances.
She also hosted a concert in the 2002 'Echoes of
Erin' Tour presented by the Irish cultural organization
Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann (CCE).
